Trash & Recycling Drop-Off Locations

WM has hundreds of landfills across the United States where you can dispose of your trash, recycling and other junk. To find a drop off location near you, enter your address in the map above.

In addition to our North American network of landfills, we have recycling facilities located around the US and Canada. To find a recycling center near you, use the Drop Off Locations map above and filter by Recycling before typing in your address.

In the Drop Off Locations map above, type in your address to find a landfill near you then browse the Accepted Materials tab for that location.

The charge to drop off trash depends on the weight of the load. Special materials like mattresses or electronics may incur an additional charge. Depending on the location, some landfills may require a customer agreement before materials can be dropped off.

When disposing of old furniture, see if the item is in good enough condition to donate. If not, we can help you find a landfill or recycling facility near you.

To find out if your materials are disposable, type your address into the map above and toggle between Recycling or Trash Disposal. Our ability to accept certain materials depends on local regulations and capabilities of the individual facility, but the map will provide you with a list of locations and the materials they accept as well as a phone number to contact us for questions. Commonly accepted materials include:

While WM does offer electronics recycling at some of its drop-off facilities, acceptable materials vary by location. We suggest calling the facility directly to see what they’re able to help you recycle.

A waste transfer station is a temporary holding facility where waste goes to be sorted and then sent to a landfill or recycling facility. This sorting process allows waste management and recycling to be handled more efficiently and is an important part of our commitment to environmental stewardship.
