After we verify that we can help you, we will give you a cost estimate. If that works for you, we will schedule your pickup and give instructions on how to prepare for your pickup day. You can schedule a bulky pickup by logging in to your My WM profile and using the Bulk Item Pickup link from the My Services page.

The cost not only varies by area, but also depends on what you are looking to dispose of and how much you have.

In some areas, WM works with your City or County to proactively schedule bulk pickup for your service address.

To ensure we are following all federal, state, and local laws, the items we accept vary by area. The best way to find out if something is acceptable in your area, is to check your address with one of our agents through Live Chat or over the phone during normal business hours.

For items with a little life left in them, check local options for donating (reuse) or recycling. There may be someone out there that can’t wait to say “Hello” to that same item.

Preparation guidelines for large or bulky item pickup varies by area.  The best way to find out if it is available in your area, is to check your address with one of our agents through Live Chat or over the phone during normal business hours.  Some general guidelines include: 

• Items covered in fabric (mattresses, box springs, sofas, etc.) must be covered in plastic  

• Items that hold water (dishwashers, hot water heaters, toilets, etc.) must be drained or the liquid solidified 

• Items that contain freon (refrigerators, freezers, etc.) must be removed by a certified individual.  Some locations may collect items still containing freon for an additional cost 

• Long items (poles, playground equipment, etc.) must be cut into four-foot sections 

Occasionally items get placed on the curb that our Drivers cannot accept. When this occurs, our Drivers will tag the item and provide additional information as to why the item was not acceptable. 

Sometimes the tags get blown away by the wind, so you may want to follow up with one of our agents through Live Chat or over the phone during normal business hours.

We do our best to respond to each form within 1-2 business days. If your request was submitted more than 2 business days ago, we suggest reaching out to one of our agents through Live Chat or over the phone during normal business hours. This will ensure that your pickup is scheduled, and you understand the next steps before you disconnect.

Occasionally things happen, and our drivers are not able to make it on the scheduled service day and will arrive the next day.

If your items have not been collected within 3 days of your scheduled service, please follow up with one of our agents through Live Chat or over the phone during normal business hours.

They will be able to provide additional information on the status of your pickup and help you reschedule if necessary.
